Bayville
is typical of Nassau.
Diligent local administration keeps the location advantage of the town in top shape
and nature is shown in all her glory with minimal disturbance from human
footprints. The Atlantic is almost always in view and no urban requirement is missing or
deficient. Though Bayville scrupulously follows the Long Island template of a choice suburb of New York, it has not failed to assert itself
and to declare its own personality.
Community
life that permeates without intruding is the special feature of Bayville. The
Bayville Community Baseball League, the Scouts movement, the St. Gertrude's Youth
Basketball and the Oak Neck Athletics Council and the Locust Valley Soccer Club
provide the town's children with opportunities for extra-curricular activities
and to expand their network of friends.
The
town's infrastructure is comprehensive. The Bayville Elementary is a
significant education resource. Bayville has a Library. It moved to its present
location only in 1956 but dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. It
functioned informally for a number of years prior to being formally chartered.
The town has 3 beaches and they are all reserved for residents. Bayville has a
local Museum housed in a building of historic importance. The Museum is focused
on local history and has interesting artifacts on Bayville history.
Bayville
has about 15 restaurants with a variety of food preparation styles on offer.
There is a wide choice for both casual and fine dining. The Breakers offers an
exciting menu with special events and offers at regular intervals. This
restaurant has an excellent bar as well and the splendid view of the Atlantic lingers long after the meal
experience is over. The seafood, especially lobster, is particularly good and
diners can always look forward to pleasing value when it is time for the tab.
Steve's Pier One is another fine restaurant in Bayville. It has separate menus
for lunch and dinner and one for Brunch as well. It has a carefully assembled
wine inventory and caters for events as well.
A budget
of around $ 1 million can fetch a dream home in Bayville with a choice of
secluded and wooded surroundings or an unbroken sea view. Such properties offer
more than elegant living close to nature; they also represent sound investment
in view of the likely prospects of future growth in the Bayville area. Reputed
realtors are available to locate such properties at market prices or to find
appropriate buyers as the case may be. Interest in the Bayville realty market
continues to be high. About 7 thousand people live in an area of less than 2
square miles to constitute the town of Bayville. It beckons to others who would like
to join in its superior lifestyle offer.
