Cambria Heights is located on the
eastern outer skirts of Queens. Cambria Heights got its name for being
one of the highest points in the entire city. Residents here enjoy living in
their modest homes and
their quaint, suburb locale. Commuting to Manhattan can be somewhat
difficult from Cambria Heights because of the
lack of public transportation. Cambria Heights is
primarily a residential area, with a small commercial shopping district
available on Hillside Ave.
Cambria heights' residences primarily
consist of single and multi-family homes. General rents in this area range from
studios for $600-800, one-bedrooms for
$700-$1000, two-bedrooms
for $900-$1100.
Cambria Heights is not ideal for
the Manhattan commuter, as the
closest Subways are the E and F trains at Jamaica Center. Jamaica Center is usually a 10
minute ride by bus or car. The other option is the Long Island Rail
Road which leaves Jamaica every
hour. This too is 10 minutes by bus or car.
