Corona was known as West Flushing until a developer
changed the name. Corona is home to one of
the largest city parks called “Flushing Meadows Park”, or to the
locales the little central park. Corona is as a blue
collar area with cheap
rents, nice landscaped parks, and is most importantly convenient to public
transport. Corona claim to fame is
Louis Armstrong, the well renowned jazz musician, was born in this small
section of Queens, New York.
Although primarily consisting of single and multi family
homes, Corona houses one of the
largest apartment
complexes, called Lefrak City. General rent in
this area range from studios for $600-900, one-bedrooms for $700-$1000,
two-bedrooms for $900-$1200.
Most transportation is done via New York City subway which
has 3 stations one at Junction Boulevard, a second at103rd Street-Corona
Plaza, and a third at 111th Street. Getting on these trains should have
